LPG Cylinder Price Hike: August Begins with Higher Commercial Rates

The month of August has started from today. On the first day of the month, oil companies shocked the general public by updating the prices of LPG cylinders at 6 am.

This time, the prices of LPG cylinders (LPG Price Hike) have been increased. However, this increase has only been made in the prices of commercial cylinders (Commercial LPG Cylinder Price). The prices of domestic cylinders are still stable.

From today, commercial cylinders have become costlier by Rs 8.50.

New Rates of Commercial Cylinders

According to the website of IOCL, new rates of commercial cylinders have come into effect from today.

  • The price of commercial cylinders in the capital Delhi has gone up to Rs 1652.50. Earlier, its price was Rs 1646.
  • In Kolkata (Kolkata LPG Cylinder Price), the price of commercial cylinders has increased from Rs 1756 to Rs 1764.5.
  • From today, the commercial cylinder in Mumbai has become Rs 1605. In July, its price was Rs 1598.
  • Commercial cylinder has also become expensive in Chennai. From today, the commercial cylinder in Chennai has become Rs 1817 instead of Rs 1809.50.

Prices Had Come Down in July

Last month, i.e., in July, oil marketing companies had announced a cut in the prices of LPG cylinders. In July, the price of commercial cylinders had come down by Rs 30.

No Change in the Price of Domestic Cylinders

From today, only the price of commercial cylinders has increased. There has been no change in the prices of domestic cylinders. That is, the prices of domestic cylinders are stable. On the occasion of Women’s Day this year, the government had cut the price of domestic cylinders. Since then, there has been no change in its prices. The price of domestic cylinders in the country’s capital Delhi is Rs 803.
