Dr. Rajesh Kumar K.R is a highly skilled professional currently excelling in the field of inventory management. With a comprehensive 16 years’ experience in Logistics and inventory management, Rajesh Kumar has established himself as a key player in ensuring efficient and precise inventory operations. Alongside his technical prowess in inventory management, he has a profound interest in training and development. Therefore, he aspires to be an established trainer in later years after utilising all his knowledge and experiences.
Rajesh Kumar holds a Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc. Software Systems from Amrita Institute of Computer Technology. He gained the experience of teaching IT in a school for two years after the completion of bachelor degree. Later, He completed MBA in marketing & HR from MG university.
After completing MBA, Rajesh Kumar started his professional journey as a Logistics executive of a Cargo company in Bangalore. Later, he joined as a Logistics Assistant at a leading retail company in cochin. Then, he started working in Oman as business Analysis executive. His exceptional analytical abilities and strategic approach to inventory management soon led to his promotion to Business Analysis In charge. In this role, Rajesh Kumar had been instrumental in implementing advanced inventory management procedures and optimizing stock levels to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. After 12 years’ experience in Oman, Rajesh Kumar got the opportunity to work as a manager – Inventory control of a retailer in one of the African countries.
Despite his accomplishments in inventory management, Dr. Rajesh Kumar’s true passion lies in training and development. Due to his interest in training, he completed post graduate diploma in training & development from ISTD. Also, he did various short-term courses in training & development, coaching during the covid pandemic time. It includes few courses in Swayam, skill development platform of Indian government. He actively participated in Toast master’s international while the time of working in Oman
He had a burning desire to do PhD for a long time. So, he enrolled in IMSR to do the PhD program. During the PhD, a sincere effort had been made to study the subject of “Importance and impact of soft skill training in retail operations management”. Soft skills are set of skills and personal qualities that enable a person to interact and present effectively, work well with others and perform well.
The study analyses the significance of soft skills across various industries. Also, the importance and impact of soft skills in retail sector were covered after categorizing staffs into 6 categories (managers, Staffs/Supervisors/Floor Supervisors/Merchandisers, Front End Managers/Customer service managers/Supervisors, Supporting Staffs like IT/Accounts, Storekeepers, Trainers). After the feedback from these employees, many areas were listed in which soft skills are very important. 10 training methods can be used for soft skill training in retail industry also identified as part of this study.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar K.R wants to be a lifelong learner, So, he started doing one another master degree, MSW recently.
